On the Set of Spiderman 3
I happened to stumble across the set of Spiderman 3 today while I was out taking photos. They had Foley Square, near the courthouses at Centre St. (a few blocks from City Hall), blocked off but I was able to get some decent shots thanks to the powerful zoom on my camera.
The scene looks like a celebration in honor of Spiderman. There is a pavilion set up with a podium and lots of important looking people. The stage has a background that says, "Thank You Spiderman". As I was watching, they did a couple takes which involved Spiderman swinging down over the crowd as they cheered. I managed to get a pretty decent video:
They had a camera high above the scene which was sliding along a cable. The way the cable was strung, it provided a cool shot of the American flag flying from the courthouse roof. I'm guessing the scene involves Spiderman swinging up past the flag like he did several times in the other two movies.
Any thoughts on where this scene belongs in the movie? Could it be one of the final scenes?

his suit is only black in the beginning of the movie when Venom infects him and his suit. After Venom seperates and infects another guy (Brock or someone, can't remember the name right now, at school lol), it becomes Spiderman vs. Venom. So this scene is either really early in the movie, or somewhere near the middle but more towards the end.

I work at city hall where they have been setting up the set for weeks, and for all you nay-sayers, the scene is real.
Unless your kid is psychic, cracker, this video has not been playing over and over on his pc cause it was only shot recently.

ok guys... well spider-man has a black suit before venom exsists, and on the sony site for spidey 3 shows that teaser image, but the cracks of lightning don't show any of the blue or red, it stays black, which leads me to believe that it is infact a black suit. As well, it looks as though someone is taking pictures of the black spider-man, perhaps eddie brock as he's a photographer as well? food for speculation...

Umm, I'll say this, this movie is gonna be fuckin tight, it has four villains! Including Venom! It doesn't matter who plays Venom, my concern is, why did they get Kirstin Dunst to play Mary Jane?

from a giant falling baloon,that a missile from glider hit it(the baloon).
as for the black suit that someone said,he will wear the suit in the movie,but not from the beginning.its a simple thought

ok, to the people who dont know anything. Venom got the black alien suit in marvel comics secret wars #8. then on web of spiderman #1 the alien got to earth and fused with peter again. After he separated form the symbiote, black cat gave him a black normal regular suit.
So now, if you go to the movie page, yes when there is lightning you can see the blue and red of the suit for a lil second. YES he will wear a black suit, but freaking wake up and realize the movie is not going to start with just a black suit out of the blue people!!!.
Most likely, the alien somehow will get to earth, and it will find peter, then they will separate, alien finds Eddie Brock and they form venom.
Plus, spideyy's black costume does not have any lines (web pattern desing). But it will be kinda interesting if it is a new look made for the movie.

Doesn't spiderman turn black because the "Symbiote" takes over him?
From what I rememeber in the cartoons the symbiote came back to earth attached to a spaceshuttle that jameson's son i think? returned from space in. Later it takes over peter (spidey). After spiderman uses the belltower to get the symbiote off of himself it then like goes away. Later on attatches to (not sure his name) and he becomes Venom.
Whatever just thought i'd mention it.

Me being the nerd I am...after watching the spiderman 3 trailer over and over again in high rez...I can hypothesize:
After Harry found out parker was spiderman....and parker not able to admit to harry his dad was the green goblin like he promised not to tell....
Harry becomes the hob goblin....doesn't use his dads suit...his suit looks cooler and it is modified and he wear a black jumpsuit.
He makes the moves on mary jane because he wants her again and thinks parker...the crook he is doesn't deserve her....
Harry ambushes parker and fights him and in all the ruckess becomes a crook himself and in the fight somehow Mary jane ends up dying after being impaled by harry's glider.
Not sure at this point if harry dies or spiderman kills him or whatever...I dont know....
Now, after parker has lost both of his friends and a wife....he is lost and is in a deep depression.
After JJJ's son the astronuat returns from mars...he bring back the mars rock with venoms sybiote and somehow the symbiote is drawn to parker....
Parker becomes the black sybiote spiderman.
Enhanced strength and agility but also immorality as a side effect. And he can do other stuff...like walk sideways on walls and stuff....
Somehow he fights sandman as the sybiote spiderman for some reason. The sandman..in the preview is the russian looking dude. He can become this big man shaped sand storm...but he needs large amount of sand or debri..or whatever to do this...so in the preview it shows him coming out of a truck loaded with "sand stone" as the big sandman guy and attacking the two cops. He must need a large source of sand to become the sandman guy...so in the city when he becomes the sandman he goes to find truckloads of sand or whatever....
He grows his hair out a bit more and hooks up with Gwen Stacey as a rebound. He is shown dancing with her with his grunged out sad emo look with long hair. and from the other scenes...clearly shots of the beggining his hair is short. So a montage was probably in order after his wife dies...before or after he become the sybiote spidey...
He becomes darker and fights crime with less regard for the criminals safety....It says in teh preview "How long can any man fight the darkness before he finds it in himself" Right before it pans out to a shot of the sybiote spiderman costume. A change is clearly visible on the costume besides the color....the spider has more crooked and bent legs than in the other 2 movies...it almost looks wickeder....both of these things hinting that we will see a darker...more evil side of spiderman...especially in remorse and anger after the death of his wife at his friends hand and the influence the evil symbiote has on him....
Eventually he tries to get rid of the symbiote once he realizes it is controlling him...he being a scientist finds out the symbiote can't handle high pitched sonic frequencies or really loud noises. (like in the comics...) So he goes to the bell tower and gets the bell ringing and like in the preview he is in pain and rips the suit off of him and the sybiote leaves him.
After this....Tropher Gracie (Eric on that 70's show)..playing Edie Brock..as the symbiote wants to get revenge...uses eddie brock as a new host knowing eddies hatred of parker because parker shafted eddie somehow in the news bussiness....eddie is also a photographer....
So either that it the end leaving more spiderman movies or a big fight scene with the regular spidey again and venom...
The reason venom wasn't in the preview was most likely they want it a secret or they haven't finished the CG graphics for him yet....well anyway...
Get back to me if you have any other ideas.

did any one notice that when peter dons the symbiote his hair is black and combed down more on the right side? play the trailer frame by frame and look at the scene where he rips his close off to reveal the black spidey suit;look at his hair... his hair does'nt look like that in some parts. As for the goblin, if harry is the next goblin why in one part is a goblin bomb being thrown at him?

Harry won't be the Hobgoblin, if they stick to the comic story, he'll just be the 2nd Green Goblin.
Also, in the comics, Brock hates spider-man because he was fired from his newspaper when spidey caught Sin Eater, and it wasn't who Brock had written it was in several articles. Brock decides to kill himself and goes to a church to ask for forgiveness before he does it, which happens to be the same church spidey goes to to rid himself of the symbiote. (and just for reference, the symbiote's name isn't Venom, Venom is the dual organism of Brock and the symbiote. Venom refers to himself as "we" while Brock refers to himself as "I")
Also in the comics, Parker goes to his scientist friend Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard) who analyzes a sample of the symbiote and discovers that it is a sentiant life form an it is sensitive to sonic waves.
Finally, we can't be sure Venom will even be in this one, IMDB credits Tobey Maguire as "Peter Parker/Spider-Man" and Thomas Hayden Church as "Flint Marco/Sandman" but only credits Topher Grace as "Eddie Brock", not "Eddie Brock/Venom".

No, you're wrong. Spiderman definately has a black costume. If you did any amount of research before you posted, you would know this. Even if you didn't do any research, in the teaser trailer for the film it shows the black suit quite a few times.
From a more personal standpoint, I wish they would have designed the symbiote spidey suit differently, more like the comic books. even if they just took of the web design and made with eyes and chest and back spiders a bit whiter, it think it would be a bit more apealing to the crowd that know the comics.

Check this shit out. Ive heard all kinds of different shit about this one. Fact is, middleway through the movie, Toby loses the Black Symbiote Suit, to Eddie Brock in the Belltower. They wont leave it till the end, seeing as they havent even made a concrete deal for Spidey 4. I got a feeling were gonna see alot of Mr. Venom in this bitch. Theyve let us wait long enough, and speaking as a fucking AVID spidey fan, im gonna tell ya that i wanted his ass in since the first one. Venom fuckin pwns and there aint no question about that. ive read plenty blogs and posts, and from the shit ive read about dunst's interview, along with Raimi's interview, Venom is a prominent Villian in this one. Check this shit out tho, the 4th villian of the movie, Bruce Campell - Plays Mysterio - though for a very short time, Bruce is ideal for the schtick that Mysterio spits out. So keep lookin out for more news.

There is a comic book series called Ultimate Spiderman, which is a redone and slightly differant version of Spiderman. In traditional spiderman Eddie Brock is a depressed man who body-builds to distract himself from the pain of life. In Ultimate spiderman, Eddie Brock is only a college punk a few years older than Peter Parker and the two grew up together. Given that they casted Topher Grace to play Eddie Brock, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled in elements of the Ultimate Spiderman Universe.
I hope they don't, though, because the Ultimate Venom storyline is kind of stupid. In the Ultimate universe, the Venom Symbiote is the result of an experiment conducted by Peter Parker's father Richard Parker and Eddie Brock's father Eddie Brock Sr. The two of them developed this "suit" during project Venom to try to cure cancer.

I don't have any answers, but here is a good question:
In the original comic book, Mary Jane is killed (by the 2nd Green Goblin) and then Peter Parker dates Gwen Stacey. But one preview for Spiderman 3 (on YouTube - 0:50 long) has Parker looking at a headline that says "Gwen Stacey killed by Spiderman" (obviously Jameson got the Spiderman part of the headline wrong), so does that mean that Gwen Stacey dies in Part III? This is complicated by the fact that Kirsten Dunst will NOT return for any Part 4, and Tobey McGuire is not sure right now. So wouldn't they kill off MJ, or both Stacey and Watson?

Just coming back to the comment that the 2nd Green Goblin killed Mary Jane in the comic books - you're wrong. The goblin threw Gwen Stacey off a bridge in 'the night Gwen Stacy died', Spiderman went to catch her but the sudden stop caused her neck to break. He was then overwraught with grief and 'killed' the goblin. He then began to connect with MJ and later married her in a 1987 edition.

yer what realy happens in the movie is that harry takes his fathers old suit but modifies it, then goes after peter, somehow mary jane is killed then peter kills haryy, afetr losing two people from his life, peter is in a great depression and that is when the symbiot suits take him over( black suit) he kills villians instead of inuring them, and he notices that the suit is controlling him.he end up fighting the sandman while wearing the siut, which makes him stronger..after killing him ..he goes to the bell tower with brock, and the noise of the bells kills the suit inside of peter, it then moves in to brock who tries to kill peter, but i dunno the rest from there

Everyone, just clearing up all the myths about the new spiderman 3 movie, as i saw it last nite.
It is really good.
but to clear things up.
Spiderman is black after some symbiote comes to earth and gets on him and turns his suit black, this black suit makes him more powerful. eventually he decides that the black suit is to poweful and is taking over so he gets rid of it, but unfortunatly some of it lands on Brock who hates peter and he then becomes venom.
the sandman is also in this movie, but i wont spoil that storyline as it is prossibly the key storyline and therefore would ruin the movie.
Harry on the other hand, transforms his fathers suit and weapons etc into more powerful creations, and then attacks peter for killing his father, but this does not go exactly to plan and the story goes on from there.
Maryjane does not die.
There are some funny scenes towards the middle of the movie regarding peter and the black suit
only 2 characters that i can recall die,
but there is some clues as to who might be the next villian in the movies to come.
i think dats about it realy lol didnt wanna spoil it
